Lucas Rallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco José Millán, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the match, Francisco José Millán notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Universitario de deportes's Lucas Rallo. Lucas Rallo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Universitario de deportes's Lucas Rallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matia Climent in the 32nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Puerto de Sagunto CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gong Yong Nan should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
