Thue Varmdorf in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Franz Ellemand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 24 minutes into the game, Brian Gengel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Splash AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariager IF the free kick. Christoffer Ganwills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esben Nilander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Splash AC booed when Mariager IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ibrahim Bergild didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Diego Holsmose came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Mariager IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Holsmose couldn't finish the play. If Esben Nilander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Esben Nilander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffer Ganwills was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Splash AC's Tage Pern got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 45th match minute, Splash AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Gengel to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernst Kjærvang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Thue Varmdorf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match, Eskil Bastheim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christoffer Ganwills saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ernst Kjærvang took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franz Ellemand. Franz Ellemand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, Splash AC's Ernst Kjærvang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franz Ellemand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernst Kjærvang struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Franz Ellemand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Splash AC. 66 minutes into the match, Splash AC's goal looked a bit too open when Eskil Bastheim came free, but Christoffer Ganwills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Mariager IF got a freekick which was hit by Diego Holsmose. After a defensive mix-up in Splash AC's zone, Eskil Bastheim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoffer Ganwills came out of the goal and Eskil Bastheim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernst Kjærvang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Splash AC's goal looked a bit too open when Eskil Bastheim came free, but Christoffer Ganwills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Nick Namansa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Andre Sauvr came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Mariager IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Sauvr couldn't finish the play. Splash AC's Ernst Kjærvang got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Sauvr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Christoffer Ganwills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mariager IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Splash AC.
