After some careless play in the Mariager IF defense, Pelle Varfjord kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franz Ellemand. The Mariager IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franz Ellemand should have stopped the shot. Ditlef Nørrekilde took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franz Ellemand. Franz Ellemand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Andy Weyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Ellemand having to interfere. Mariager IF's Franz Ellemand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Varfjord in the 25th minute of play. Esben Nilander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Weyen in the 29th minute of play forced Mariager IF's goalkeeper Franz Ellemand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franz Ellemand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnfred Bødkergaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariager IF's Franz Ellemand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Weyen in the 34th minute of play. Esben Nilanders short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Kjeld Mikaelsen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Peisen in the 37th minute of play forced Mariager IF's goalkeeper Franz Ellemand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Esben Nilander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kjeld Mikaelsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franz Ellemand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Weyen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pelle Varfjord who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Franz Ellemand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mariager IF's Andre Sauvr got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eskil Bastheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Esben Nilander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mariager IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. A collision led to Kobbertoft SIK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Valentin Sarnild hit a great ball. Arnfred Bødkergaard hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esben Nilander in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjeld Mikaelsen saved Kobbertoft SIK from getting behind. Kjeld Mikaelsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eskil Bastheim went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Franz Ellemand came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kobbertoft SIK's Arnfred Bødkergaard. But to his dismay, Arnfred Bødkergaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Andy Weyen took a quick shot and it went in 4-4 without a chance for Franz Ellemand to make any attempt to save it. When Mariager IF's Esben Nilander in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kobbertoft SIK's goalie prevented a goal. Mariager IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
