The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Appelfeldt in the 9th minute of play forced Rye BK's goalkeeper Johan Thyren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes STØD-G™ got a freekick which was hit by Vilfred Selling. In the 15th minute, Ian Prag left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rye BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Johan Thyren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Appelfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Benjamin Egehøj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svend Alsbro in the 24th minute of play. Teodor Sieling's late challenge caught a Rye BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in STØD-G™'s zone, Svend Alsbro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Egehøj came out of the goal and Svend Alsbro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rye BK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ali Vinsteen hit a great ball. Johan Thyren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kenney Lundø's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Svend Alsbro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rye BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Svend Alsbro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Egehøj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rye BK's zone, Zakarias Benktsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Thyren came out of the goal and Zakarias Benktsson tried to chip the ball over his head. Benjamin Egehøj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenney Lundø in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johan Thyren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svend Alsbro in the 81st minute of play forced STØD-G™'s goalkeeper Benjamin Egehøj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Kingston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Thyren having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Tobias Kingston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Vinsteen in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Egehøj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute, Kenney Lundø made a precise shot to the right of Johan Thyren. Rye BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Rye BK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
