Seating: 2134, VIP seats: 184) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when René Rosensø took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Gipuzkoa in the 4th minute of play forced Nyrup's goalkeeper Jørg Wettergren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole Corsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nyrup's zone, Antonio Alzamendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jørg Wettergren came out of the goal and Antonio Alzamendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Finn Schiermann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saco FC's Phillip Glerum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Finn Schiermann came free, but Phillip Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ulf Atna was slow to take the kick. During this time Nyrup's players had a chance to rest. Antonio Alzamendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jørg Wettergren made a huge save. Phillip Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Rosensø in the 18th minute of play. Antonio Alzamendi hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Saco FC's Antonio Alzamendi fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Jørg Wettergren was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. A collision led to Nyrup getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ulf Atna hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Alzamendi got free with Jørg Wettergren in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonio Alzamendi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jørg Wettergren firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jørg Wettergren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Alzamendi in the 29th minute of play. Phillip Glerum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Scherer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Finn Schiermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Glerum having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Antonio Alzamendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jørg Wettergren was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute of the match Saco FC got a corner. Nyrup's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Dhaussy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Saco FC's Phillip Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Scherer in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Nyrup getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Mikael Damslev hit a great ball. Saco FC's Antonio Alzamendi got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Adolfo Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phillip Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole Corsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Antonio Alzamendi made the kick off in the second half. Ole Corsten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Phillip Glerum made a huge save. In the 53rd minute of the match Saco FC got a corner. Nyrup's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Dhaussy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jørg Wettergren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Alzamendi in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saco FC's Wolfgang Amvig got a free kick in the 58th minute. Phillip Glerum was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and René Rosensø capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. René Rosensø really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nyrup's goalkeeper Jørg Wettergren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolfo Gipuzkoa scored 2-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jørg Wettergren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If René Rosensø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jørg Wettergren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Alzamendi's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Adolfo Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jørg Wettergren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Alzamendi in the 72nd minute of the match. Jørg Wettergren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Gipuzkoa in the 90th minute of play. When Peter-Jan De Brouwer fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saco FC's protests and gave Peter-Jan De Brouwer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nyrup booed when Saco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter-Jan De Brouwer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saco FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nyrup had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
