Esau Karger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes Drei Linden got a freekick which was hit by Leo Telkämper. In the 7th minute, Hellmut Brill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia United's zone, Esau Karger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilja Sieg came out of the goal and Esau Karger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uwe Orlowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, one of Drei Linden:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drei Linden. Drei Linden:s Mike Petersik showed great skill when he stopped Friedrich Scherer:s penalty. Uwe Orlowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iker Schardt hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Uwe Orlowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ilja Sieg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Uwe Orlowski came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Drei Linden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Orlowski couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Drei Linden's Theodor von Scheliha got a free kick in the 28th minute. Uwe Orlowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ilja Sieg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esau Karger struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ilja Sieg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drei Linden. Ilja Sieg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Orlowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Drei Linden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodor von Scheliha to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Friedrich Scherer fired a really elegant long shot, but Mike Petersik threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The audience was convinced that Esau Karger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilja Sieg was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hellmut Brill was the one to do the kick off. Esau Karger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilja Sieg was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Uwe Orlowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Uwe Orlowski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. If Theodor von Scheliha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Uwe Orlowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Schardt during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Esau Karger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Ilja Sieg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Esau Karger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilja Sieg. That made the score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. 80 minutes in the game, Otto Gross fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ilja Sieg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia United's zone, Theodor von Scheliha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilja Sieg came out of the goal and Theodor von Scheliha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otmar Diekelmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilja Sieg having to make a save. When Frido Jäger came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Drei Linden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frido Jäger couldn't finish the play. Ilja Sieg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leo Telkämper showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 87 minute of play. If Otmar Diekelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Esau Karger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Drei Linden's Uwe Orlowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. When the match was over Drei Linden could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Croatia United throughout the match.
