Hakan Singhammer scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernd Dambowsky, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Laubau's zone, Clemens Klause stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merten Weimann came out of the goal and Clemens Klause tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julius Lamowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Laubau's goalkeeper Merten Weimann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemens Klause. In the 47th minute Julius Lamowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merten Weimann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merten Weimann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Vieth in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julius Lamowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51st play minutes Julius Lamowski shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Merten Weimann and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Ibrahim Volkmer put in a rough tackle. Bernd Dambowsky had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Gunter Bermel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Merten Weimann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julius Lamowski's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. A collision led to Laubau getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Richard Kopp hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Vielank's Rudolf Vieth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merten Weimann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Merten Weimann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Lamowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vielank had played much better football throughout.
