In the 16thth minute of the game Rolf Weyand who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gianluca Balla hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Hjeltman came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Weyand in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes in the game, Gianluca Balla dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ulli Hartwig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Balla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Rolf Weyand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Buffalo Bills's Ulli Hartwig got control of the ball when Gianluca Balla tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Buffalo Bills made a substitution. Frerk Hentschel replaced Rolf Weyand. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Szilárd Újváry to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Hjeltman came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulli Hartwig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szilárd Újváry, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Gianluca Balla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when Buffalo Bills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wyatt Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frerk Hentschel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pavlos Konstantakakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Hamburg Fighters were the better team. Hamburg Fighters's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
