After a rather tough play, Szczakowianka's Tanek Kosel got a free kick in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburg Fighters's zone, Mieszko Puszynski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew Jastrzembowski came out of the goal and Mieszko Puszynski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mieszko Puszynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Tomasz Rutkowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edward Owsiak lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 17 played minutes Szczakowianka got a freekick which was hit by Edward Owsiak. After 18 played minutes, Hamburg Fighters's Walt Schräder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomasz Rutkowski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hamburg Fighters reached it. In the 23rd minute Maciej Haszczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Maciej Haszczak came free, but Matthew Jastrzembowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthew Jastrzembowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walery Ludwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanek Kosel in the 30th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Matthew Jastrzembowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Karol Zapolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Jastrzembowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The Hamburg Fighters players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Szczakowianka were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walt Schräder to strike the kick off in the second half. If Walt Schräder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Hamburg Fighters from getting a goal against them. Matthew Jastrzembowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karol Zapolski in the 64th minute. Matthew Jastrzembowski was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Karol Zapolski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karol Zapolski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Rudolf Aschenbrenner kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Tomasz Rutkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Jucknischke in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Rudolf Aschenbrenner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamburg Fighters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szczakowianka the free kick. After 91 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Aschenbrenner. Tanek Kosel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Jastrzembowski having to interfere. The Szczakowianka players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
