Bogdan Czarnecki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Václav Tatíček, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Teodor Machek hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Bučko in the 14th minute of play forced AC Sparta Praha's goalkeeper Bogdan Czarnecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Václav Tatíček left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deniz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bogdan Czarnecki came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Deniz's Rudolf Bučko. But to his dismay, Rudolf Bučko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Dušan Černík fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dušan Černík in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Herzog prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogdan Czarnecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Komárek in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes AC Sparta Praha got a freekick which was hit by Karel Hrbáč. Dušan Černík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Herzog having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Teodor Machek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deniz and the AC Sparta Praha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deniz's Teodor Machek got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Andy Bålström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Herzog having to interfere. Bogdan Czarnecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Václav Tatíček, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Deniz got a freekick which was hit by Václav Tatíček. In the 40th minute, Dušan Černík fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. AC Sparta Praha's Bogdan Czarnecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Václav Tatíček in the 42nd minute of play. Ulf Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Simon Herzog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Petr Komárek made the kick off in the second half. AC Sparta Praha's Bogdan Czarnecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Václav Tatíček in the 52nd minute of play. Ulf Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Simon Herzog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Sparta Praha. After a rather tough play, Deniz's Josef Knobloch got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Dušan Černík came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the AC Sparta Praha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dušan Černík couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Bučko got free with Bogdan Czarnecki in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Bučko in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bogdan Czarnecki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. AC Sparta Praha's Bogdan Czarnecki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save AC Sparta Praha from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, AC Sparta Praha's Ulf Åkesson got a free kick in the 66th minute. Bogdan Czarnecki made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Rudolf Bučko sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dušan Černík managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Sparta Praha's supporters rose to their feet, but Dušan Černík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Herzog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bogdan Czarnecki made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Rudolf Bučko sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Deniz's zone, Andy Bålström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Herzog came out of the goal and Andy Bålström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, AC Sparta Praha's Dušan Černík made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Herzog was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to AC Sparta Praha getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Maxim Česák hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Bogdan Czarnecki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 1-3 became the score in the 89th minute when Rudolf Bučko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Václav Tatíček ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogdan Czarnecki was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The AC Sparta Praha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deniz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
