The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Sorens's Muhammad Kefacha got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Dagobert Saluz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mac Karlen in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dagobert Saluz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Teodor scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dagobert Saluz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th match minute, New England Tea Men was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rainer Dufresne to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sorens getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Robin Schwab hit a great ball. Adriano Wertscher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Victoriano Dunixi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Denis Teodor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dagobert Saluz. Sorens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Teodor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Sorens's Dagobert Saluz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Teodor in the 27th minute of play. Dagobert Saluz came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by New England Tea Men's Josep Miquelarena. But to his dismay, Josep Miquelarena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 37th minute Mac Karlen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagobert Saluz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, New England Tea Men's Denis Teodor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dagobert Saluz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The audience was convinced that Denis Teodor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagobert Saluz was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Robin Schwab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sorens players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New England Tea Men were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Wertscher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Dunixi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, New England Tea Men's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Wertscher came free, but Victoriano Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Wertscher scored 1-6 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Dunixi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dagobert Saluz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mac Karlen in the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Teodor in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dagobert Saluz saved Sorens from getting behind. Dagobert Saluz made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Josep Miquelarena sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Wertscher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Victoriano Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 minutes of play, New England Tea Men's Josep Miquelarena made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dagobert Saluz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mac Karlen came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dagobert Saluz could save by the left post. Sorens's Dagobert Saluz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Sorens from getting a goal against them. Martin Gruenenfelder kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in New England Tea Men's zone, Muhammad Kefacha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Dunixi came out of the goal and Muhammad Kefacha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jack Conte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sorens getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Robin Schwab hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes, New England Tea Men's Martin Gruenenfelder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dagobert Saluz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New England Tea Men reached it. Dagobert Saluz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Teodor in the 94th minute of the match. Dagobert Saluz made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Mac Karlen sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. New England Tea Men walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
