Graciano Lindenmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Gerold Thoma managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Kosiorek in the 24th minute of play forced SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led FC Rägi's Waldemar Bryholt to fire away a dangerous shot which Santiago Cañizares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Santiago Cañizares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alekos Livas went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Cresenciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SIRI United booed when FC Rägi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Claude didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Gwidon Kosiorek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SIRI United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilbur Charette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and Gwidon Kosiorek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, SIRI United's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amador Cresenciano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amador Cresenciano got free with Santiago Cañizares in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldemar Bryholt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Cañizares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Calistrat Busuioc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Haag in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match SIRI United got a corner. FC Rägi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Graciano Lindenmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Graciano Lindenmann almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Rägi's Calistrat Busuioc did a great save. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerold Thoma helped the player get up and apologised. During the 97th minute of the match Bruno Petermann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bruno Petermann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The SIRI United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Rägi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
