Pastor Jago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Arndt Tittone made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Pastor Jago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arndt Tittone was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Haag in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arndt Tittone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerold Thoma during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Gerold Thoma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Bleyer in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Haag in the 22nd minute of play forced Bottens's goalkeeper Arndt Tittone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Massimo Poulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arndt Tittone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th play minute Gerold Thoma came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arndt Tittone. 3-0. With his leg Arndt Tittone managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when SIRI United's Ricardo Haag fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st minute Massimo Poulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arndt Tittone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Haag might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arndt Tittone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Haag ran back to his position shaking his head. Arndt Tittone came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by SIRI United's Ricardo Haag. But to his dismay, Ricardo Haag quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 38th minute, Ricardo Haag got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Massimo Poulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Arndt Tittone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Haag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arndt Tittone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Petermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Charles Zacchia made the kick off in the second half. The SIRI United fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when SIRI United's Ricardo Haag looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arndt Tittone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerold Thoma in the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pitt Dähler during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bottens's Pitt Dähler got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Massimo Poulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Haag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arndt Tittone was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Ricardo Haag scored 8-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arndt Tittone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arndt Tittone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Haag's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. SIRI United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
