Zlatko Ibrahimović started the match with the kick off. When Harry Bähr came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Fc Tuggen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Bähr couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, Fc Tuggen's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Ibrahimović came free, but Richard Hjälm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Harry Bähr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Tuggen's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Bähr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olaf Geiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serenus Kaiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Geiger having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Harry Bähr put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olaf Geiger. Fire Devils's Olaf Geiger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serenus Kaiser in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Serenus Kaiser came free, but Olaf Geiger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Serenus Kaiser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Olaf Geiger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Bähr in the 23rd minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Olaf Geiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Tuggen's Richard Hjälm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Nalaskowski in the 33rd minute of play. In the 41st minute, one of Fc Tuggen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fc Tuggen. 45 minutes into the match, Fc Tuggen's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Ibrahimović came free, but Richard Hjälm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Bähr charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harry Bähr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Fc Tuggen got a freekick which was hit by Harry Bähr. After the first half Fc Tuggen were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harry Bähr was the one to do the kick off. Olaf Geiger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serenus Kaiser in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Fc Tuggen booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatko Ibrahimović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Fc Tuggen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serenus Kaiser to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. Harry Bähr was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Fc Tuggen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Vornic in the 62nd minute of play forced Fc Tuggen's goalkeeper Richard Hjälm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Harry Bähr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fire Devils made a substitution. Edmílson Gaúcho replaced Zlatko Ibrahimović. Harry Bähr received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olaf Geiger came out and tried to block the shot, but Harry Bähr slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 77th minute. Richard Hjälm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Nalaskowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Serenus Kaiser who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Olaf Geiger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Robin Andermatt got a free kick in the 95th minute. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Fc Tuggen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Bähr didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Fc Tuggen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fc Tuggen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
