Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mitch Velkeneers started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Herbert Van Meensel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yannis Storms, passed just outside the right post. Yannis Storms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitch Velkeneers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannis Storms stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitch Velkeneers's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Upigny's Simon Naets got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 16 played minutes Upigny got a freekick which was hit by Simon Naets. Adam Slaghmeulders was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Simon Naets hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Upigny's Bertrand Seveneijnts got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Herbert Van Meensels short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Yannis Storms to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yannis Storms came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Walderdonk's Phillipe Van Deijck. But to his dismay, Phillipe Van Deijck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Yannis Storms made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Van Meensel in the 41st minute. Herbert Van Meensel made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 45thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Yannis Storms would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Mitch Velkeneers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yannis Storms was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jurgen Kempenaerts to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Upigny were awarded a corner. Benny Viskens went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Upigny's Benny Viskens to fire away a dangerous shot which Jordi Suteweij despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Phillipe Van Deijck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upigny's Yannis Storms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Walderdonk's goal looked a bit too open when Jurgen Kempenaerts came free, but Jordi Suteweij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Velkeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Yannis Storms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Herbert Van Meensel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walderdonk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Walderdonk's zone, Jurgen Kempenaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordi Suteweij came out of the goal and Jurgen Kempenaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jordi Suteweij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Kempenaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Walderdonk's Herbert Van Meensel got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Mitch Velkeneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannis Storms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yannis Storms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitch Velkeneers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannis Storms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rdth minute of the game Mitch Velkeneers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upigny's Yannis Storms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Van Meensel in the 94th minute of play forced Upigny's goalkeeper Yannis Storms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
