Spectators: 7530 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Leon Wollans made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the game, Kasper Verhagen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bertrix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Forges the free kick. A collision led to Bertrix getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Kasper Verhagen hit a great ball. KFC Forges's Matteo Schipmans couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bertrix. Benedict Roeckeloes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remie Sielens having to interfere. Remie Sielens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedict Roeckeloes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Wollans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basiel Verschelde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Benedict Roeckeloes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gwenn Ooms in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basiel Verschelde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 29 minutes into the match, Bertrix's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Smekens came free, but Remie Sielens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Bertrix's Gwenn Ooms made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basiel Verschelde was left in no man's land by his defense there! 1-2 became the score in the 34th minute when Gino Smekens elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Kim Meynen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basiel Verschelde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Wollans, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Leon Wollans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basiel Verschelde having to make a save. The Bertrix players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFC Forges were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Gino Smekens made the kick off in the second half. Basiel Verschelde came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bertrix's Leon Wollans. But to his dismay, Leon Wollans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 57 played minutes Bertrix got a freekick which was hit by Ruud Van Meerbeec. The audience cheered loudly when Matteo Schipmans's long shot in the 58th minute became 2-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Remie Sielens. After 66 played minutes Gino Smekens rounded Bertrix's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. In the 73rd minute Gwenn Ooms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basiel Verschelde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Leon Wollans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bertrix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Basiel Verschelde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwenn Ooms in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gino Smekens managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Forges's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Smekens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remie Sielens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gino Smekens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, Bertrix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Verhagen to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes, KFC Forges's Matteo Schipmans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remie Sielens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Forges reached it. After having played for 97 minutes, Gino Smekens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Forges's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Smekens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
