Excelsior Mullem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bastian Spoelberghe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Marnix Van Bombergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Van Leemputte having to interfere. Jonathan Reynaerts charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Axel Leers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 42 minutes into the match, Bastian Spoelberghe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roel Van Leemputte. The Excelsior Mullem players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VC Walshoutem were winning 2-3.

With a little luck, Excelsior Mullem's Roel Van Leemputte got control of the ball when Bastian Spoelberghe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marnix Van Bombergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Roel Van Leemputte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Reynaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Leers having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Mattias Schoenmakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Schoenmakers charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Schoenmakers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, VC Walshoutem's Mattias Schoenmakers got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mattias Schoenmakers hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Excelsior Mullem's goalkeeper Roel Van Leemputte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bastian Spoelberghe. Roel Van Leemputte acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rafael Sneijers. In the 74th minute Marnix Van Bombergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roel Van Leemputte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Excelsior Mullem's goal looked a bit too open when Marnix Van Bombergen came free, but Roel Van Leemputte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VC Walshoutem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paul-Louis Jenken in the 77th minute. Axel Leers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Reynaerts's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Excelsior Mullem's goalkeeper Roel Van Leemputte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bastian Spoelberghe. A collision led to Excelsior Mullem getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Terry Izemborgh hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
