Spectators: 8052 (Terracing: 6040, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) Sporting Club Anderlecht's Jochen Raeijmaeckers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cedric Van Achteren came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by BocaJuniors's Luc Van Parijs. But to his dismay, Luc Van Parijs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Teun De Raeijmaecker was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of BocaJuniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Club Anderlecht:s goal. Cedric Van Achteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Jannes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jochen Raeijmaeckers took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathieux Berchmans. Mathieux Berchmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mathieux Berchmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stijn Van dooren in the 19th minute of play. When Jochen Raeijmaeckers came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Sporting Club Anderlecht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jochen Raeijmaeckers couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Luc Van Parijs took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Cedric Van Achteren to make any attempt to save it. Mathieux Berchmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochen Raeijmaeckers in the 35th minute of the match. Mathieux Berchmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen Raeijmaeckers in the 38th minute of play. Mathieux Berchmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stijn Van dooren, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Richmond Swiggers charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richmond Swiggers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BocaJuniors getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Richmond Swiggers hit a great ball. If Richmond Swiggers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Labrouche hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luc Van Parijs to make the kick off. Carl Kempenaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Gerard Liboton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeff Rockloos's late challenge caught a Sporting Club Anderlecht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeff Rockloos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, BocaJuniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Rockloos to maneuver through the defense. Jochen Raeijmaeckers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Jochen Raeijmaeckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BocaJuniors's zone, Stijn Van dooren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathieux Berchmans came out of the goal and Stijn Van dooren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, BocaJuniors's Mathieux Berchmans got control of the ball when Jochen Raeijmaeckers tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Luc Van Parijs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BocaJuniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Club Anderlecht the free kick. After a rather tough play, BocaJuniors's Luc Van Parijs got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mathieux Berchmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochen Raeijmaeckers in the 86th minute of the match. Yves De kaiser made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Stijn Van dooren. Henri-Xavier Van dooren's late challenge caught a BocaJuniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henri-Xavier Van dooren helped the player get up and apologised. BocaJuniors succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sporting Club Anderlecht had controlled the match.
