Bass Van de cauter hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Willemeau's Bertan Helsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ersan Torkal in the 11th minute of play. Jeffrey Valckeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Van de Put made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Guust Van der Vorst sent off a good shot on target. Bertan Helsens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ersan Torkal in the 20th minute of the match. RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver's Julian Tonna got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bass Van de cauter fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver's protests and gave Bass Van de cauter a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bass Van de cauter hit a great ball. Anton Van Deijck kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Bertan Helsens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Tonna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Cederik Lache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jacobus Huyghens hit a great ball. Jeffrey Valckeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edward Van de Put tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guust Van der Vorst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Van de Put having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Julian Tonna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Tonna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julian Tonna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bertan Helsens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in RSC Sint-Katelijne-Waver's zone, Jeffrey Valckeneers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Van de Put came out of the goal and Jeffrey Valckeneers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jeffrey Valckeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willemeau's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffrey Valckeneers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Van de Put breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Ersan Torkal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Emile Soetemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Gillis Geraerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Jeffrey Valckeneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Van de Put saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
