Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudy Van Eijcke started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Storm U18's Stefan Rondou got control of the ball when Guust Van der Vorst tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gilian Bauwens sped through Willemeau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bertan Helsens. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guust Van der Vorst got free with Stefan Rondou in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14thth minute of the game Gilian Bauwens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Willemeau's Bertan Helsens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guust Van der Vorst took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Rondou. Stefan Rondou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Guust Van der Vorst's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stefan Rondou firmly grabbed it by the left post. Stefan Rondou didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. In the 28th minute Jeffrey Valckeneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Rondou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Storm U18 booed when Willemeau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cederik Lache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Willemeau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stein Schouters to maneuver through the defense. Matthew Theuniers's late challenge caught a Storm U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Theuniers helped the player get up and apologised. Matthew Theuniers kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Storm U18's Izak De Vriendt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertan Helsens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guust Van der Vorst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Willemeau's Bertan Helsens got control of the ball when Izak De Vriendt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Storm U18's goal looked a bit too open when Guust Van der Vorst came free, but Stefan Rondou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Storm U18's Stefan Rondou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guust Van der Vorst in the 57th minute of play. Storm U18's Rudy Van Eijcke managed to work through Willemeau's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rudy Van Eijcke dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Izak De Vriendt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bertan Helsens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guust Van der Vorst scored 4-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Rondou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Van Eijcke in the 72nd minute of play forced Willemeau's goalkeeper Bertan Helsens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Willemeau's goalkeeper Bertan Helsens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Izak De Vriendt. When Rudy Van Eijcke came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Storm U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Van Eijcke couldn't finish the play. After 88 minutes of play, Willemeau's Guust Van der Vorst made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Rondou was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 93 minutes, Izak De Vriendt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storm U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izak De Vriendt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Stein Schouters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willemeau's supporters rose to their feet, but Stein Schouters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Rondou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willemeau's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
