Wart Keldermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedrik Berghmans in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Roger Diependaele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Matoekoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparkling Team the free kick. The supporters of Sparkling Team booed when De Matoekoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Diependaele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Imbereghs in the 19th minute of play. Sparkling Team's Joerie Schamp got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, De Matoekoes's Christofere Van Meirhaeghe threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Garry Imbereghs, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 36 minutes in the game Dante Bosbeeck did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mathieux De Weyngaert. De Matoekoes's Wart Keldermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvan Meersmans in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Sparkling Team getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dante Bosbeeck hit a great ball. After 46 minutes, Lauren Huybreghts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Matoekoes and the Sparkling Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes De Matoekoes got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Huybreghts. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik-Jan Van Der Taelen in the 47th minute of play forced De Matoekoes's goalkeeper Wart Keldermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sylvan Meersmans made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Jacobus Elzen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Matoekoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparkling Team the free kick. After 51 played minutes De Matoekoes got a freekick which was hit by Jacobus Elzen. In the 54th minute, Cedrik Berghmans made a precise shot to the right of Wart Keldermans. De Matoekoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Ritchie Wagemans fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparkling Team's protests and gave Ritchie Wagemans a yellow card for diving instead. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garry Imbereghs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wart Keldermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik-Jan Van Der Taelen in the 67th minute of play. If Tibo Sterks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Sparkling Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tibo Sterks came free, but Christofere Van Meirhaeghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garry Imbereghs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christofere Van Meirhaeghe having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Tibo Sterks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 86 played minutes Sparkling Team got a freekick which was hit by Joerie Schamp. In the 87th minute Tibo Sterks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christofere Van Meirhaeghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibo Sterks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tibo Sterks scored 3-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christofere Van Meirhaeghe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, De Matoekoes could leave the field as winners, despite Sparkling Team having more of the ball for most of the match.
