When Benny Theijs came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FC Flat Beat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benny Theijs couldn't finish the play. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achilles Rockloos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Achilles Rockloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christofere Van Meirhaeghe having to interfere. Cedrik Berghmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Toon De Middeleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Matijs Cremers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christofere Van Meirhaeghe. Sparkling Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matijs Cremers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st minute of the match Matijs Cremers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christofere Van Meirhaeghe skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Toon De Middeleer managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Sparkling Team's Cedrik Berghmans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 26 minutes, Matijs Cremers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Flat Beat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matijs Cremers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match FC Flat Beat got a corner. Sparkling Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matijs Cremers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sparkling Team's Christofere Van Meirhaeghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Ioannidis in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matijs Cremers in the 35th minute of play forced Sparkling Team's goalkeeper Christofere Van Meirhaeghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Flat Beat's Giannis Ioannidis got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Ioannidis in the 37th minute of play forced Sparkling Team's goalkeeper Christofere Van Meirhaeghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Matijs Cremers came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Flat Beat fans jumped to their feet. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Sparkling Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Flat Beat were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matijs Cremers to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, FC Flat Beat's Giannis Ioannidis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benny Theijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christofere Van Meirhaeghe having to interfere. Christofere Van Meirhaeghe was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Matijs Cremers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. If Sylvan Meersmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Flat Beat made a substitution. Bjorn Switten replaced Bart Van Heurick. 82 minutes in the game, Matijs Cremers fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christofere Van Meirhaeghe having to interfere. After 83 minutes, Bjorn Switten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Flat Beat and the Sparkling Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Flat Beat getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bjorn Switten hit a great ball. Matijs Cremers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. When Matijs Cremers fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Flat Beat's protests and gave Matijs Cremers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Flat Beat getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Matijs Cremers hit a great ball. Giannis Ioannidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Christofere Van Meirhaeghe made a huge save. FC Flat Beat's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
