That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Peter-Jan Hofnagels took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claude Renotte. Claude Renotte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Barça's Peter-Jan Hofnagels got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yves De Swert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Kroeters's Claude Renotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannik Meersmans in the 21st minute of play. Claude Renotte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yannik Meersmans showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 26 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Claude Renotte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ritchie Wortelaert hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, FC Kroeters's goal looked a bit too open when Yannik Meersmans came free, but Claude Renotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Peter-Jan Hofnagels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Barça got a freekick which was hit by Bill Van Hinnendaels. In the 37th minute of the match Nicolas Van Damme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joeri Verdeyen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, FC Kroeters's goal looked a bit too open when Yannik Meersmans came free, but Claude Renotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Stuycken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Claude Renotte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter-Jan Hofnagels stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter-Jan Hofnagels in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Kroeters's goalkeeper Claude Renotte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, FC Kroeters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Van Damme to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Barça booed when FC Kroeters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ritchie Wortelaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebbe Conincx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joeri Verdeyen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommi De Bruyn in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barça had played much better football throughout.
