Ciro Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Qvalfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute North Side were awarded a corner. Jakob Vandamme went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led North Side's Jakob Vandamme to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciro Lira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 25th minute Marcus Odin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Neys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Mattias Qvalfeldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Side fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Dionísio Soberano managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Side's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionísio Soberano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute Marcus Odin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Neys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Odin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remco Dekker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Mathieu-Maxim Neys made a huge save.
