Mars Overmark made a great header on Lichten's corner, it was just that Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans managed to reach the ball for a save. Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliusz Bienienda in the 10th minute of play. Ilídio Malafaia made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Sylven Van Der Meeren sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute of the match, Matias De Cat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ilídio Malafaia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Sylven Van Der Meeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Winksele 2016's goal looked a bit too open when Andries Rompen came free, but Ben Dillemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Novais's late challenge caught a Winksele 2016's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Novais helped the player get up and apologised. 40 minutes into the game, one of Lichten:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Winksele 2016. Tommie Verhengen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilídio Malafaia. 1-0. In the 45th minute Mars Overmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Dillemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes of play Lichten's João Novais was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Lichten's João Novais got a free kick in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sylven Van Der Meeren was the one to do the kick off. Ben Dillemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliusz Bienienda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Ben Dillemans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lichten's Andries Rompen got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Aureliusz Bienienda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ilídio Malafaia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylven Van Der Meeren took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilídio Malafaia. Ilídio Malafaia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ilídio Malafaia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sylven Van Der Meeren went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Aureliusz Bienienda kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ilídio Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Bihar in the 75th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Andries Rompen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sylven Van Der Meeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sylven Van Der Meeren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilídio Malafaia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Winksele 2016's Sylven Van Der Meeren fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Winksele 2016 had played much better football throughout.
