Ciudad-Ganda's goalkeeper Ray Van Gorp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Wiechgers. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ludwig Kloots was slow to take the kick. During this time Café DE PLOEG's players had a chance to rest. Ray Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 龚康松 in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Tomas Wiechgers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ray Van Gorp. Tomas Wiechgers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, 龚康松 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Café DE PLOEG's supporters rose to their feet, but 龚康松 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Van Gorp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Youri Spailer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, one of Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda. In the 26th minute, Octaaf Nijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Wiechgers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ray Van Gorp made a huge save. After 28 minutes of play, Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's Octaaf Nijs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carel Van de Schrieck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ray Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Wiechgers in the 31st minute of play. 龚康松 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ray Van Gorp having to make a save. 龚康松 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Van Gorp having to interfere. Ludwig Kloots could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ray Van Gorp made a huge save. After 43 minutes, Luisinho Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Café DE PLOEG and the Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Café DE PLOEG getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Luisinho Vidal hit a great ball. Carel Van de Schrieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Spailer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Café DE PLOEG got a freekick which was hit by Charl De Metser. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octaaf Nijs to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's goalkeeper Ray Van Gorp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's Ray Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Wiechgers in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that 龚康松's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ray Van Gorp was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Ovidio Benavides hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Café DE PLOEG booed when Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermín Durango didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's Ray Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 龚康松 in the 62nd minute of play. When Tomas Wiechgers came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Café DE PLOEG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Wiechgers couldn't finish the play. Ray Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Wiechgers in the 71st minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's goal looked a bit too open when 龚康松 came free, but Ray Van Gorp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Wiechgers in the 81st minute of play forced Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's goalkeeper Ray Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Tomas Wiechgers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Van Gorp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 龚康松 in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Van Gorp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 played minutes Café DE PLOEG got a freekick which was hit by Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck. Axel Coomans hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
