Carel Van de Schrieck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Carel Van de Schrieck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mars Overmark in the 26th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Mars Overmark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carel Van de Schrieck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 35 played minutes Lichten got a freekick which was hit by Mars Overmark. The supporters of Café DE PLOEG booed when Lichten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliusz Bienienda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Lichten defense, Tomas Wiechgers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilídio Malafaia. The Lichten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilídio Malafaia should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Tomas Wiechgers put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ilídio Malafaia. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

João Novais hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ilídio Malafaia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Wiechgers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lichten booed when Café DE PLOEG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludwig Kloots made a great header on Café DE PLOEG's corner, it was just that Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia managed to reach the ball for a save. If Ludwig Kloots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Lichten's goal looked a bit too open when Ludwig Kloots came free, but Ilídio Malafaia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilídio Malafaia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bert Windelinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lichten's Octave Rijmenams got a free kick in the 94th minute. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romain Mesmakers in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Café DE PLOEG fully deserved thier win.
