Jannic Roukeloes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray De Lauw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jannic Roukeloes in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray De Lauw saved De Beverpatrouille from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Free Julian Assange!'s Jannic Roukeloes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray De Lauw made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Simon Mignolet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 40th minute. After 42 played minutes De Beverpatrouille got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Oihan. 44 minutes into the match, Free Julian Assange!'s goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Corderall came free, but Simon Mignolet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jonatan Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Jannic Roukeloes made the kick off in the second half.
