An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannic Roukeloes in the 11th minute of play forced Wils FC's goalkeeper Godfried Van Gertsuyden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Edwin Koppen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Mignolet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannic Roukeloes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 25th minute, Jannic Roukeloes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Free Julian Assange! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Godfried Van Gertsuyden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jannic Roukeloes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Harald De Messemaeckre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Mignolet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannic Roukeloes took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godfried Van Gertsuyden. Godfried Van Gertsuyden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 42nd minute, Thibaud Verhulst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald De Messemaeckre in the 45th minute of play forced Free Julian Assange!'s goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Free Julian Assange!'s Jannic Roukeloes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfried Van Gertsuyden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wils FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Simon Matthieu was slow to take the kick. During this time Free Julian Assange!'s players had a chance to rest. Alexander Hendrickx charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Hendrickx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Wils FC booed when Free Julian Assange! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Hendrickx didn't get a good kick on the ball.
Godfried Van Gertsuyden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jannic Roukeloes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Mignolet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Van Dijck, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Tom Araya might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfried Van Gertsuyden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Araya ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Mignolet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Koppen in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Wils FC's Edwin Koppen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Mignolet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Free Julian Assange! made a substitution. Refael Vanden Bossche replaced Ensar Yaşam. In the 95th minute Edwin Koppen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Mignolet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Free Julian Assange! players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Wils FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
