In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buhocel Atletic's goalkeeper Robert Negulici, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Codruț Vâtcu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buhocel Atletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Cezar Poplăcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Buhocel Atletic got a freekick which was hit by Emil Donecea. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Buhocel Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Poplăcan came free, but Robert Negulici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aristide Buzatu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Șerban Udrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Avarvarei in the 53rd minute of the match. Cezar Poplăcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cezar Poplăcan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 57th playminute. With a little luck, Buhocel Atletic's Robert Negulici got control of the ball when Aristide Buzatu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iordache Soare's late challenge caught a Buhocel Atletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Negulici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Pitarcesti's Cezar Poplăcan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Negulici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Pitarcesti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Buhocel Atletic.
