FC Nicseni - BTF's Gheorghe Homescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Teofil in the 4th minute of play. Teodor Teofil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gheorghe Homescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avram Neculce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. balaur FC's Maxim Istrăteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Neculce in the 12th minute of play. Gheorghe Homescu made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Gică Vaida sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Șerban Oloieru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. balaur FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nicseni - BTF the free kick. Șerban Oloieru hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Maxim Istrăteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Avram Neculce's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. FC Nicseni - BTF's Avram Neculce got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Răzvan Baba hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. balaur FC's Maxim Istrăteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Oanță in the 28th minute of play. After 30 played minutes, FC Nicseni - BTF's Toader Caranfil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maxim Istrăteanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Nicseni - BTF reached it. Gheorghe Homescu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gică Vaida sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Gheorghe Homescu managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when balaur FC's Gică Vaida fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 40 minutes, Eusebiu Oanță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nicseni - BTF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Oanță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodor Teofil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Homescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Gică Vaida came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the balaur FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gică Vaida couldn't finish the play. Maxim Istrăteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Neculce in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodor Teofil was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Eduard Lupoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nicseni - BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Lupoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Istrăteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Eusebiu Oanță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Nicseni - BTF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gheorghe Homescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Teofil in the 66th minute of play. Gheorghe Homescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Teofil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, balaur FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Vaida to maneuver through the defense. Eduard Lupoi came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maxim Istrăteanu could save by the left post. Teodor Teofil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gheorghe Homescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to balaur FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Edgar Stana hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC Nicseni - BTF's Gigel Lechințan tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, balaur FC's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Neculce came free, but Maxim Istrăteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Horea Horațiu fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored balaur FC's protests and gave Horea Horațiu a yellow card for diving instead.
