Maxim Istrăteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Filimon in the 59th minute of play. After 61 played minutes balaur FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Stana. With his leg Maxim Istrăteanu managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Arsache's Doru Filimon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute, Gică Vaida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 99 minutes into the game, Tudor Postelnicescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. balaur FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsache the free kick. In the 99th minute, one of balaur FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for balaur FC. The Arsache players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
