Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Șerban Voica got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Laza's Iulian Vârjean slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexandru Iurașcu. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Dorin Mustea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Laza's Iulian Vârjean ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexandru Iurașcu. Alexandru Iurașcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Dinu Murgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Donecea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iulian Vârjean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandru Iurașcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iulian Vârjean in the 34th minute. A collision led to Panic getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manuel Muja hit a great ball. Răzvan Bornescu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Iulian Vârjean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Voica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Răzvan Bornescu made a kick off. Iulian Vârjean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Alexandru Iurașcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Vârjean struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Alexandru Iurașcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laza. Alexandru Iurașcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Voica in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Panic's Bogdan Donecea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dinu Murgan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Laza's Tudor Pintilescu got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Voica in the 68th minute of play forced Panic's goalkeeper Alexandru Iurașcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Șerban Voica in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandru Iurașcu saved Panic from getting behind. Șerban Voica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Donecea got free with Dinu Murgan in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Panic's Nicolae Dărmănescu got a free kick in the 75th minute. Ion Ghișerel, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Răzvan Bornescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinu Murgan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Panic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Mustea to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Laza's Șerban Voica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandru Iurașcu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Laza's Șerban Voica got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Laza's Șerban Voica in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panic's goalie prevented a goal. Alexandru Iurașcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Vârjean, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Laza's Șerban Voica made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandru Iurașcu was left in no man's land by his defense there!
