Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nistor Hrib kicked off to start the match. After 6 minutes, Vasile Avram mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brestea and the Sabolciu UFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nistor Hrib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Hribs short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Iacob Răduța to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th minute Dan Gheție shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Dobrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Boerescu in the 13th minute of play forced Sabolciu UFC's goalkeeper Valentin Dobrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nistor Hrib struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Iacob Răduța didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabolciu UFC. Brestea's Iacob Răduța proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Brestea from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes of play, Brestea's Vasile Avram made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Dobrea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nistor Hrib recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iacob Răduța didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horea Mărăscu went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vasile Avram kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Hrib in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iacob Răduța saved Brestea from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Nistor Hrib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabolciu UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brestea the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sabolciu UFC's Nistor Hrib got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Vasile Avram got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolae Nisipeanu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Brestea's goalkeeper Iacob Răduța, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Hrib in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iacob Răduța prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabolciu UFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
