In the 16th match minute, Zgaroesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Hurmuzache to maneuver through the defense. Nicolae Petrin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Călinescu in the 19th minute of play. If Edgar Praporgescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Liviu Călinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Petrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Laurențiu Patrichi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zgaroesti and the Davidoaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laurențiu Patrichi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Sergiu Şteţ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Nicolae Petrin made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Liviu Călinescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nicolae Petrin to make any attempt to save it. After 39th play minutes Sergiu Şteţ shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Nicolae Petrin and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
In the 52ndth minute of the game Edgar Praporgescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Davidoaia's Glyn Sugden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Şteţ in the 55th minute of play forced Zgaroesti's goalkeeper Nicolae Petrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Zgaroesti got a freekick which was hit by Horia Bușcu. Sergiu Şteţ took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolae Petrin. Nicolae Petrin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Nicolae Petrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Călinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Nicolae Petrin came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Davidoaia's Sergiu Şteţ. But to his dismay, Sergiu Şteţ quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Dijmărescu in the 67th minute of play forced Zgaroesti's goalkeeper Nicolae Petrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Davidoaia booed when Zgaroesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Zmărăndescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Praporgescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Praporgescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Glyn Sugden made a huge save. Toader Vişan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Necati Akkaya shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolae Petrin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Liviu Călinescu's late challenge caught a Zgaroesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Călinescu helped the player get up and apologised. When Davidoaia's Sergiu Şteţ in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zgaroesti's goalie prevented a goal. Davidoaia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
