The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Nisipeanu got free with Cosmin Astafei in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brisca Sarasau -MM-'s Cosmin Astafei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Brisca Sarasau -MM- from getting a goal against them. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Vâtcă in the 23rd minute of play. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Mineață in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Valentin Mineață hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chorache Tofiño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Mineață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Tudor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Mineață's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavius Nisipeanu to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Mineață came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Nisipeanu. With an all-out effort, Brisca Sarasau -MM-'s Martin Tudor threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ionel Gafița, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th minute Flavius Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Astafei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Karol Czempa. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Liviu Cezar hit a great ball. The supporters of Brisca Sarasau -MM- booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Nisipeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Progresul Pitesti's Chorache Tofiño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosmin Astafei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brisca Sarasau -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Progresul Pitesti.
