Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Vâtcă in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Gafița. Cosmin Astafei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Czempa in the 29th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Karol Czempa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Brisca Sarasau -MM-'s Cosmin Astafei. Cosmin Astafei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosmin Astafei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Progresul Pitesti from getting a goal against them. Chorache Tofiño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Valentin Mineață hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Karol Czempa.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karol Czempa to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosmin Astafei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Czempa in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Boyde Palmington hit a great ball. Florin Tănăsescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Tudor. Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 65th minute Chorache Tofiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Astafei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Boyde Palmington got a free kick in the 71st minute. Karol Czempa took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosmin Astafei. Cosmin Astafei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After 79 minutes, Vintilă Marinică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Progresul Pitesti and the Brisca Sarasau -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. 82 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Mineață came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Brisca Sarasau -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Voda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmin Astafei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chorache Tofiño in the 86th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Florin Logofătu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cosmin Astafei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 94 played minutes Brisca Sarasau -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Eric Dănciulescu. In the 94th minute of the match Florin Logofătu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cosmin Astafei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Brisca Sarasau -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Progresul Pitesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
