An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Torouţ in the 14th minute of play forced Minerul Baia Mare's goalkeeper Calistrat Pascaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Troncotă hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match, Jeremy Wenderickx got a very nice opportunity to score, but Calistrat Pascaru was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 92nd minute, Andrés Silvera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremy Wenderickx in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Pascaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, Minerul Baia Mare's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Stolniceanu came free, but Calistrat Pascaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calistrat Pascaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavius Stoleru in the 96th minute of the match.
