Kostas Georgakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyriakos Kanellopoulos in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Apostolis Iordanis notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Melidhokhσri BC's Kostas Georgakis. After 45 played minutes Melidhokhσri BC got a freekick which was hit by Valerios Kefalos. Panafpliakos FC's Chrisostomos Prikourakis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Melidhokhσri BC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nikos Georgatos hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Theocharis Premetis got free with Miltos Seichanidis in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nontas Mouratos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyriakos Kanellopoulos in the 89th minute of play forced Melidhokhσri BC's goalkeeper Kostas Georgakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
