The corner led to Ritokylä's Elmo Timoska getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilton Baiano during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nilton Baiano hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ensio Kampman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kauno Timmonen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ritokylä's Kari Nitti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keijo Järvensivu in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Pojo got a freekick which was hit by Rauli Liimatainen. Didi Fox struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Kauno Timmonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ritokylä. Kauno Timmonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Didi Fox's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. With a little luck, Pojo's Kauno Timmonen got control of the ball when Didi Fox tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Ensio Kampman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kauno Timmonen. Ensio Kampman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pojo's Kauno Timmonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Fox in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Ritokylä's Ensio Kampman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kauno Timmonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Ritokylä's goal looked a bit too open when Erno Myllyniemi came free, but Kari Nitti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Taisto Kamppunen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kari Nitti. Ritokylä's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taisto Kamppunen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 33 minutes, Didi Fox made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pojo's Kauno Timmonen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute of the match Ritokylä got a corner. Pojo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santos Hori ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santos Hori made a great header on Ritokylä's corner, it was just that Pojo's Kauno Timmonen managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erno Myllyniemi in the 40th minute of play forced Ritokylä's goalkeeper Kari Nitti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Rikhard Alatalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kari Nitti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kari Nitti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erno Myllyniemi in the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didi Fox to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Mariano Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauno Timmonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Atarratze in the 67th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Mikko Sairanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pojo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ritokylä.
