Tallinna Lõvid's Edgar Märjamaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardi Pihlak in the 3rd minute of play. Surtsi SK's Haarald Nukki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Surtsi SK from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Surtsi SK's goalkeeper Haarald Nukki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jan Sadam came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Surtsi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Sadam couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Hardi Pihlak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Edgar Märjamaa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Haarald Nukki managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Tallinna Lõvid's Jass Üürike fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 27 minutes, Roland Kübar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surtsi SK and the Tallinna Lõvid players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roland Kübar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Tallinna Lõvid's Vallo Vest broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haarald Kellu made a kick off. Edgar Märjamaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hardi Pihlak, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Jan Sadam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Märjamaa having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Surtsi SK's zone, Jass Üürike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haarald Nukki came out of the goal and Jass Üürike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes, Vello Nemvalts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surtsi SK and the Tallinna Lõvid players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tallinna Lõvid booed when Surtsi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vello Nemvalts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Sadam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edgar Märjamaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tallinna Lõvid! In the 87th minute Hardi Pihlak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Märjamaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Tallinna Lõvid got a freekick which was hit by Dan Taaber. Gerd Väärsi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Edgar Märjamaa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hardi Pihlak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play.
