Haarald Kellu started the match with the kick off. Haarald Kellu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of JK Teemant booed when Tallinna Lõvid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Taaber didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ahti Kaplinski came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the JK Teemant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahti Kaplinski couldn't finish the play. If Ahti Kaplinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jass Üürike in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rudolf Jüriöö, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. JK Teemant's Rene Viljat got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Haarald Kellu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jass Üürike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haarald Kellu in the 42nd minute of play forced JK Teemant's goalkeeper Rudolf Jüriöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half JK Teemant were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egert Aas to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Kardo Vasser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tallinna Lõvid and the JK Teemant players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tallinna Lõvid's Kardo Vasser got a free kick in the 54th minute. Edgar Märjamaa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egert Aas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute, Ahti Kaplinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Dan Taaber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raivo Lillemets kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Jass Üürike had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Jüriöö. JK Teemant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jass Üürike was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jass Üürike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Jüriöö having to interfere. Kaspar Vabadus hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Tallinna Lõvid's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vallo Vest in the 89th minute. The corner led Tallinna Lõvid's Vallo Vest to fire away a dangerous shot which Rudolf Jüriöö despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kaspar Vabadus's late challenge caught a Tallinna Lõvid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaspar Vabadus helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes JK Teemant got a freekick which was hit by Kaspar Vabadus. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
