An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimosthenis Horiatis in the 3rd minute of play forced Patísia FC's goalkeeper Thorikos Danas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dimosthenis Horiatis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thorikos Danas was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Dimosthenis Horiatis struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Thorikos Danas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apoel Stars. 20 minutes into the match, Apoel Stars's goalkeeper Thoralf Hong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Volakis. Thorikos Danas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimosthenis Horiatis in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Dimosthenis Horiatis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apoel Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Prokris Papadakos charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prokris Papadakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 31 minutes into the game, Apoel Stars's Thrinakie Pagonis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thorikos Danas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan-Carlos Dios in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thorikos Danas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thorikos Danas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dimosthenis Horiatis went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The Patísia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Apoel Stars were winning 0-7.

Dimosthenis Horiatiss short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Thorikos Danas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Akis Dalianis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thoralf Hong having to interfere. In the 60th minute Prokris Papadakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thoralf Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thorikos Danas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimosthenis Horiatis in the 61st minute. In the 63rd play minute Dimosthenis Horiatis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Thorikos Danas. 0-8. 66 minutes into the game, Thrinakie Pagonis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Thorikos Danas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dimosthenis Horiatis in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thorikos Danas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lynkeus Gavril kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Patísia FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dimosthenis Horiatis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thorikos Danas made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Nessos Yfantis sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Dimosthenis Horiatis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thorikos Danas. That made the score 0-10 in the 80 minute of play. The Apoel Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Dimosthenis Horiatis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Patísia FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Apoel Stars were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
