The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stancho Tomov was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Shearer in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilcho Hadzhihristov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Limonite's Ilcho Hadzhihristov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Roberts in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes, Toni Semov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limonite and the Blackburn Rovers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Limonite's Brad Friedel threw himself towards the right post 100 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stancho Tomov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Blackburn Rovers FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
