Spectators: 7974 (Terracing: 5982, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alan Shearer started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Blackburn Rovers FC booed when Dynamo Sporting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Petrakiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Dragan Randev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brad Friedel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Dynamo Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Minko Roshkev came free, but Miho Balevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Lachezar Chinkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Ginyo Ibrov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blackburn Rovers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ginyo Ibrov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miho Balevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Shearer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Dynamo Sporting's Dragan Randev got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Lyubcho Kopanov struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Brad Friedel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dynamo Sporting. When Adrian Petrakiev came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Dynamo Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Petrakiev couldn't finish the play. Brad Friedel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyubcho Kopanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play, Dynamo Sporting's Yanko Shalamanov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brad Friedel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Lyubcho Kopanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Friedel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Lyubcho Kopanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brad Friedel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanko Shalamanov in the 45th minute of play forced Blackburn Rovers FC's goalkeeper Brad Friedel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Petrakiev's late challenge caught a Blackburn Rovers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Petrakiev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Adrian Petrakiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Minko Roshkev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miho Balevski having to interfere. Brad Friedel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svetlin Grandzhev in the 54th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Yanko Shalamanov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brad Friedel. That made the score 1-3 in the 55 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Dynamo Sporting's Yanko Shalamanov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Lyubcho Kopanov took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Brad Friedel to make any attempt to save it. 73 minutes into the game, Dynamo Sporting's Lyubcho Kopanov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brad Friedel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. 75 minutes into the game, Kamen Staevski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blackburn Rovers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dynamo Sporting the free kick. A collision led to Blackburn Rovers FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kamen Staevski hit a great ball. The long shot by Dragan Randev in the 76th minute really tested Brad Friedel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Blackburn Rovers FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Adrian Petrakiev 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. In the 80th minute, Yanko Shalamanov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brad Friedel. The goal made the score 1-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanko Shalamanov in the 84th minute of play forced Blackburn Rovers FC's goalkeeper Brad Friedel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes of play, Dynamo Sporting's Lyubcho Kopanov made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brad Friedel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yanko Shalamanov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-10.
