Hüseyin Cahit Oylum had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Haluk Tokgöz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Yedikule JK's Hami Kızıl got a free kick in the 6th minute. Alaaddin Ganim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Hüseyin Cahit Oylum made a huge save. Tamer Urgun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şensoy Saraç, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Seyhun Hececi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Yedikule JK booed when Şaheser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Galip Çiftçioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hasan Eraslan in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tamer Urgun saved Şaheser FC from getting behind. Hasan Eraslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Tamer Urgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şensoy Saraç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şensoy Saraç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Urgun having to interfere. Tamer Urgun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasan Eraslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seyhun Hececi to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Şaheser FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Şensoy Saraç fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Gaffar Onal fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Şaheser FC's protests and gave Gaffar Onal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yedikule JK booed when Şaheser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaffar Onal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şensoy Saraç got free with Tamer Urgun in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hasan Eraslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Şensoy Saraç let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 62nd minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. Şensoy Saraç struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tamer Urgun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yedikule JK. If Şensoy Saraç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cemal Harmandalı came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Yedikule JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cemal Harmandalı couldn't finish the play. Şensoy Saraç struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tamer Urgun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yedikule JK. When Alaaddin Ganim came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Şaheser FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alaaddin Ganim couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Şensoy Saraç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yedikule JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Şensoy Saraç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamer Urgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yedikule JK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
