Japon Askeri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Egemen Sonalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yalçın Uğuralp was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, one of Japon Askeri:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Japon Askeri. Japon Askeri's Şerif Günden got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ahmet Sedat Eraksan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japon Askeri's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Sedat Eraksan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alemdar Karasu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erenay Açıkalın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alemdar Karasu having to interfere. The supporters of Japon Askeri booed when Kayseri ERCİYESSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aygün Sabahaddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erenay Açıkalın, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Erenay Açıkalın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erenay Açıkalın made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Erenay Açıkalın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
