A well-hit corner resulted in Sebastian Kazczyk heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. KOCAELİSPOR's Ömer Demirci got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nils Krüger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Demirci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to KOCAELİSPOR getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Baba Yorgun hit a great ball. KOCAELİSPOR's Giannis Papadas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save KOCAELİSPOR from getting a goal against them.
