The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Hasan Sertaçgil got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cesur Süvari. Orçun Raşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Arif Burak Çimen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, KOCAELİSPOR's Ceyhun Mennan threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anıl Arda Buğra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Altan Toygun fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KOCAELİSPOR's protests and gave Altan Toygun a yellow card for diving instead. Arif Burak Çimen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Raşit in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Mustafa Emrah Mertoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceyhun Mennan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The KOCAELİSPOR support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
