Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nizar Khaja made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Nizar Khaja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penistone's supporters rose to their feet, but Nizar Khaja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamal Al Ramzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ayoob Taiban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nizar Al Saleh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nizar Khaja hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Nizar Al Saleh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ayoob Taiban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nader Al Srae, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute Nizar Khaja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamal Al Ramzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Penistone got a freekick which was hit by Nader Al Khobaize. Saher Ashkanani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ayoob Taiban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nader Al Srae during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Horwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nader Al Srae to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Jarah Shrean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jamal Al Ramzi skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Shaban Boland had to leave the field with a concussion. When Nizar Khaja fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penistone's protests and gave Nizar Khaja a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Penistone getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nizar Khaja hit a great ball. Jarah Shrean didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saher Ashkanani was the one to do the kick off. When Nizar Khaja came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Penistone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nizar Khaja couldn't finish the play. Jamal Al Ramzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Naem Al Habshi's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Nizar Khaja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nizar Khaja struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jamal Al Ramzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penistone. If Nizar Khaja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Horwich's Nader Al Srae got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Nader Al Srae off the ground. 72 minutes into the match, Penistone's Naem Al Habshi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamal Al Ramzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Penistone's Nizar Khaja nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jamal Al Ramzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Penistone's zone, Khalaf Khaja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ayoob Taiban came out of the goal and Khalaf Khaja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khalaf Khaja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ayoob Taiban having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Naem Al Habshi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penistone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naem Al Habshi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
